The Royal Hospital for Sick Children received £50,000 donation from the Echo Trust towards an ultra sound system that they required. The equipment will replace the current machines which were purchased in 2006/07. Since this time there have been great advances in medical technology, especially image quality. One machine would be situated in the Radiology Department and the other on a portable basis, predominantly in the intensive care and high dependency units where children are too sick to be moved to Radiology.
